Bella Vista Park- Testimony

Participatory Process

The Bella Vista Park arises from a joint project with the National Association of Municipalities and Intendencies of Costa Rica, the Municipal Center for Social Urbanism, and the Office of Narcotics Affairs, Security, and Justice of the U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica to develop: "Public Space Recovery Projects with participatory design methodologies and social urbanism." The Golfito project was a coordinated effort between these institutions, the Municipality of Golfito, and the community.

Site and Landscape Design

The landscape proposal for Bella Vista Park aims to characterize the space through native vegetation and the use of water through small streams. The landscape design was carried out by the office Arquitectura+Paisaje, led by landscape architect Alberto Negrini.

Branding

It aims to create a logo and representative brand elements for the park, as well as explore ways to apply these in the canton and promote the park. The identity was created by André Kelso.
